Giddings & Lewis has the capacity, machines and expertise to help you with your contract machining needs. Using our latest horizontal boring mills, machining centers and vertical lathes, our recently renovated Fond du Lac machine shop currently produces parts such as valves, pumps, frames, housings and gearboxes for OEM manufacturers.
The Medium Machine Shop is set up to machine prismatic parts up to 60 x 60 x 84 inches. The Large Machine Shop features floor-type horizontal boring mills and planer-type mills, including the G&L VMC100 pictured, which handle the largest parts with a working envelope of 12 x 15 x 56 feet.
For turning, our four axis, live-spindle vertical turning centers have the capacity for round parts from 30 to more than 100 inches in diameter and up to 80 inches high.
Additional services include heat treat, inspection and precision screw, gear and shaft machining.
