The VTC Series combines the traditional power, rigidity and versatility of our vertical turning center design with increased capacity and multi-functional capabilities. The open workzone facilitates part loading and operator access. The available models, with tables from 1000 to 4500 mm and height under the rail up to 2500 mm will handle a wide range of parts.
Multifunctional capabilities. The addition of options such as live tooling and right angle heads add machining center operations in addition to turning. Probing and pallet shuttle systems also improve productivity.
The hydrostatic ram with its high dynamic stiffness and superior damping coupled with powerful drives enable accurate heavy cuts.
The latest additions to the MAG Giddings & Lewis vertical turning center product line is a 1000 mm VTC. The VTC 1000 is fast, 630 rpm, offering enhanced C-axis capabilities with a 360,000 position table.
